Meetings
All visitors most welcome to all meetings
22nd December - 10.30 am Christingle Service led by members of Hicks Mill Congregation.
'Bible Christian' was originally a term of contempt for those who, unashamed, carried heavy Bibles to church under their arms. Bible Christians today are proud of their heritage, but their Bibles are usually a little smaller!
Whether on holiday, or living locally, we would be delighted to meet you.
You can pay a short virtual visit to our chapel courtesy of Tim Locke and YouTube.
Billy Bray (1794-1868) in free audio on the Web
Billy Bray was an extraordinary man, although he would say that he had an extraordinary Saviour.
He was, and is, known for his Christian joy, praise, faith, witness, exuberance, humility, confidence... There is no end to the list. Billy had close associations with Hicks Mill, Baldhu and many other Cornish chapels.
F. W Bourne's book: The King's Son, or, A Memoir of Billy Bray has been continuously in print since 1884, in over 50 editions. It is now available as an audio book, read on location by Alan Chant at a variety of Cornish locations known to Billy. It is published freely on the Web courtesy of Librivox, the Internet Archive or You Tube. There are many ways to listen to it; one is to google:
